HIVEKICKER: Respect the Rock

Hivekicker- EPINEPHRINE ep- is HERE!

Fresh off a slew of 2021 releases, HIVEKICKER is back in early 2022 with the fourth release from Boxer Face Records aptly called EPINEPHRINE. The latest record features six sizzling rippers that will tantalize your earholes with NO GUITAR MERCY. John Flude leads the project, again writing, playing, singing, and recording all of the songs. John Crouch is back on the drum kit, pounding along with punk rock precision and Nick Petersen mixing/mastering the whole shebang, awesomely. Expect more of the same from HIVEKICKER with this release, punk rock, rock n roll, NYC HARDCORE, and southern bad assidry. The first single Lost Cause (S.O.S.) will be released in early March 2022. The slated full-album release date for HIVEKICKER – Epinephrine is May 2022.

Hivekicker- GET STUNG ep

HIVEKICKER (Raleigh, NC) is the brainchild of John Flude (Dragstrip Syndicate) featuring the drums of Chapel Hill, NC scene veteran, John Crouch (Caltrop/Black Skies/Solar Halos). John plays and writes all of the songs except drums. The latest HIVEKICKER – GET STUNG ep is 3 songs and also the second official release on Boxer Face Records LLC. The GET STUNG ep employs the mixing skills of Track and Field Recoding owner, Nick Petersen (Bon Iver – For Emma) and was mastered by Carl Saff at Saff Mastering LLC.

John said:

“I’ve been chasing a sound in my head for quite some time. It’s a sound I can’t define. It’s not punk, it’s not action rock, it’s not rock n roll. That being said, I just want the music to rip all the time. No breaks.. all fuel.”

He feels the GET STUNG ep is one step closer to obtaining that goal

Kick Out The Hives

The HIVEKICKER debut album “Kick Out The Hives” showcases the drums of Scott Nurkin (Birds of Avalon/Dynamite Brothers), mixing skills of Track and Field Recoding owner, Nick Petersen (Bon Iver – For Emma). The album was recorded over five isolated months of the 2020 Pandemic. This album was written and performed entirely by John, except for the drums. The drums were recorded at the legendary Chapel Hill, NC rock club, Local 506, over the weekend of November 7 – 8, 2020. Carl Saff Mastered the album at the end of December 2020.
